Camping is a great activity for families, making for a nice change from the usual resort fun enjoyed via Orlando Resorts Rental. It’s free, relatively easy and requires little to no gear. It’s ideal for rainy days and gets the kids out into the fresh air. The key to a successful trip is to make sure you make it a fun experience and not just a chore.

The campout should be easy enough that the kids can entertain themselves. On our most recent camping trip to Smuggler’s Cove, the kids played and made mud pies and played in the giant sand box that was right next to us, while we enjoyed taking it in turns to take the wood grain steering wheels the two vehicles we all travelling in had had freshly installed. We were travelling as an entire extended family… When they didn’t get in the sand they drew a spiderweb in the sand and watched it evolve over time. When we went hiking, they followed my tracks on the trail. And they did all of this with my wife and me not bothering to make a fire and cook dinner.

When planning a trip, consider the things the kids enjoy the most, their favourite things to do and the things they want to do. Planning the trip will help make sure you are trying out new things and getting them ready for the future.

5 Things to Do to Make a Camping Trip Fun

Pack a Beach Chair

Camping is not the same as a backyard camping trip. Camping involves being outside and experiencing nature, the great outdoors. So pack a beach chair and sit in it for hours. Find a place where you can go to the water and you can relax. Plan to pack the chairs and enjoy the sun and sand while you’re camping. The kids will love it.

Make Playtime Easy

There are lots of fun things to do when camping. You can engage the kids in fun activities such as playing tabletop games or cards. Also, do you have a grill at your house? Make sure your kids have fun making hamburgers, hot dogs, and more out of the delicious outdoors. Learn how to make s’mores with a campfire, make fruitcakes, and any other fun recipes you can. It’s a great way to get the kids ready for camp. And you’ll love it, too.

Play Soccer

If your camp site has a soccer field and it’s still cold outside, have a soccer ball with your tent set up. Set up a soccer net. Your kids will be so excited to have an opportunity to play the sport they love so much.

If your kids love cars and trucks, let them spend the day playing in the sand or swimming in the lake. Don’t worry about the wet sand or the water getting into your tent. It’s all about the fun.

Make Hiking Fun

If your kids love the outdoors, plan a hike. Wear your favourite Lapiazzastore.com gear to make it feel like the occasion it is. There are lots of great places to hike around here in Oregon. Check out trails like Wildwood Trail, Otter Creek, Whitewater River Trail and Short Cut to Cascade Lake. Hike at sunset or during the day. You can make it all about the journey, not the destination. If your kids love being outside, take a hike and you’ll be happy you made it a fun trip.

Camping is a great way to spend the summer with your family. It doesn’t have to be expensive, you just have to plan ahead and make it fun. When you plan your trip and make it fun, your kids will thank you.

Sit Down to Eat Dinner Together

During a typical camping trip, dinner is never a fun event. Sit down together and eat a healthy dinner at a picnic table.
